Goizueta staff gears up to assist and serve

Samantha Renfro
Melissa Northrop
Jeff Colburn
Son Pham
Tracey Trombino

Change is inevitable in an academic setting. This year Goizueta welcomes a bevy of new and seasoned talented professionals to assist students, alumni and the school in continuing to excel.

No strangers to Goizueta, Maria Radulovic and Samantha Renfro have accepted new roles at the school. Radulovic, former chief of staff for dean Larry Benveniste, is now the associate dean for Development and Alumni Relations. She will have a pivotal role in the school’s strategic plan. Renfro is now senior director of Alumni Relations, replacing Natalie Miranda. Renfro, who celebrates her twentieth anniversary with the school next year, has worked in a variety of capacities at Goizueta and knows the alumni base well. Her positions included director of the MBA Career Management Center and director of business development for Executive Development.

Joining Renfro is Associate Director of Alumni Relations Melissa Northrop. Northrop will continue to foster involvement between alumni and Goizueta. Prior to this new role, Northrop worked as an alumni development specialist in the Office of Development Regional Program at the University of Georgia. Northrop replaces Paul Towne 06EvMBA, who upon graduation accepted a new position with IBM.

Aiding Danielle Rubenstein in providing career services to alumni is Donna Rohm Stephenson 95MBA, new associate director of Alumni Relations Career Services. Stephenson brings twelve years of consulting and management experience to the job, having recruited Goizueta students while working for Cap Gemini Consulting. She was also actively involved in Goizueta’s Mentor Program. She replaces Eileen Apple, who now works closely with students as assistant director for Class Gift Programs on a part-time basis. Apple manages class gift campaigns for current MBA and BBA students, as well as for the reunion classes.

Director of Development Jeff Colburn is charged with major gift fundraising in support of scholarships, faculty, program initiatives, and unrestricted operating funds. Before joining Goizueta, Colburn served in various roles at the Georgia Tech Alumni Association.

Heading up the MBA Career Management Center is Goizueta alum Son Pham 00MBA. Before his role at the CMC, Pham served as IBM’s University Recruiting Program manager, where he interacted with CMC staffs at more than a dozen top MBA programs, including Harvard and Goizueta. Pham replaces Carol Asamoah, who now resides in Africa and will work with MBA Admissions to recruit students for Goizueta.

Kelly Bean continues her work in executive development as the program’s new executive director. Joining Bean in Executive Development is Tracey Trombino, the new senior associate director of Business Development. Trombino works with representatives from both large and mid-sized corporations to develop customized executive education programs. Before landing at Goizueta, Trombino worked for a leading assessment firm and has extensive experience working with clients on large-scale assessment projects.
