Kudos The Atlanta Chapter of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) has selected Goizueta Business School as the “University of the Year” in recognition of Goizueta’s commitment to Latin American communities. The school was chosen because of its involvement with and support of NSHMBA at the local and national levels, its efforts to attract more Hispanics to the MBA program, and its prestige and reputation in the community. This marks the third time the school has received this award. Jagdish Sheth, the Charles H. Kellstadt professor of marketing, received the 2006 RHR International Award for Excellence in Consultation from the Society of Consulting Psychology. Sheth’s selection was based on his achievements as an internationally recognized business consultant and scholar. He is the author of more than 200 articles and research papers and twelve books in the field of consumer psychology, business strategy, and marketing. Doctoral student David Bray 04MSPH is the recipient of three awards: the Rotary International Ambassadorial Award for 2006, which allows him to study at the Oxford Internet Institute (the social sciences division of the University of Oxford in London); an invitation as one of ten persons attending a doctoral event at Queen’s Business School in Canada to discuss knowledge management with academic experts from around the world; and the 2005 Matthew Lee Girvin Award, for selfless dedication to the field of public health and making significant contributions toward improving the lives and health of others. Prior to enrolling at Goizueta, Bray was the CDC Associate Director of Informatics and IT Chief within the divisions of HIV/AIDS Prevention and the Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program. —Nicole Golston
