Goizueta MBAs win National Hispanic Case Competition Second-year Goizueta MBA students Jose Aguilar, Kattia Sanchez, Roberto Seif, and Constantino Spas won the case competition at the ninth annual conference of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) in Dallas in October. The assigned case required students to develop strategic direction for the brand identity of Oscar Mayer Foods.
Eight teams competed in the event, which was sponsored by Kraft Foods. Each was given four hours to prepare the case and deliver a fifteen-minute presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session with Kraft Foods senior executives. "They asked us tough questions," says Seif, a student from Venezuela. "But we backed each other up," says Spas, also from Venezuela. "We thought out of the box. That's the reason we won," says Sanchez, from Atlanta. Other schools selected to participate in the competition included the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Southern Methodist University, the University of Southern California, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Case Western Reserve, and Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management.
