Goizueta rankings climb

Goizueta Business School advanced another slot to number eighteen among 391 accredited full-time MBA programs surveyed in the 2006 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools.”

Goizueta Business School’s Evening MBA Program is ranked number fifteen among part-time programs. The W. Cliff Oxford Executive MBA captured the number ten position; the program also ranks number ten in BusinessWeek.

“Being recognized by our peer schools and by corporate recruiters is very rewarding,” says Interim Dean Maryam Alavi. “Positive movement in the rankings confirms that our strategic direction is on target, and it is a good boost for the school’s momentum.”

U.S. News & World Report rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program quality, and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research, and students. Last fall, U.S. News asked business school deans and directors of accredited MBA programs to rate overall academic quality of the master’s programs at each school. Corporate recruiters and company contacts that hired MBA graduates from previously ranked programs also were asked to rate the programs.
