Dear Goizueta alumni and friends,

We are pleased to take this opportunity to congratulate the Class of 2005 and welcome them to the Goizueta Business School Alumni Association. As our alumni already know, the benefits of your Goizueta education don’t end now that you are no longer a student. The Office of Alumni Relations provides a wealth of services to the Goizueta alumni community. The complete list and links to our most popular benefits and services can be found off the main alumni web site at www.goizueta.emory.edu/alumni. But, since I have your attention, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce our newest alumni, and remind our current alumni, of some of our exclusive offerings.

Did you know that as long as you log-in to your First Class account once every three months, you can retain your account? It’s called Life-Long E-Mail! Has your account already become inactive or did you attend Emory’s Business School before First Class? If so, you can sign up for a permanent Emory Alumni Account at www.alumniconnections.com/emory. Just click on “Permanent E-Mail” on the left of the page.

We also have a team of professionals who provide Alumni Career Services. The direct web address is www.bus.emory.edu/alumnicareer. On your first visit to the Alumni Career Services page, you will see a number of terrific resources—Factiva, eProNet, Global Workplace and CareerFish. There are also links to the Alumni Database and our Job Postings. This site was designed to give you the confidence, tools, and answers you need to be your own chief marketing officer and placement consultant. One-on-one help is also available. To utilize this personal service, click on the “Click Here to Contact Alumni Career Services” and your request will be sent to the most appropriate staff member.

In addition to services, we provide a variety of opportunities for alumni to stay involved and connected. We offer the Goizueta Mentor Program that many of you have participated in over the years—www.goizueta.emory.edu/mentor.html. This program is by far one of Goizueta’s most successful alumni/student programs and your participation is key to its continued success!

There are also plenty of events for you to attend. In Atlanta, alumni are always invited to attend our Roberto C. Goizueta Lecture Series, our Goizueta Business School Alumni Association board meetings, and our Annual Alumni Awards Dinner and Reunion Weekend. Options exist outside of metro Atlanta too. Goizueta Groups, regional alumni chapters, have formed in several cities including Atlanta, New York, London, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, and the Association of Emory Alumni has even more chapters located around the country and the world to help you stay connected. These groups hold alumni events in your area on a regular basis.

If you would like a PDF version of the Goizueta Alumni Association Information brochure, please e-mail us at alumni@bus.emory.edu and we will get it right out to you. And, as always, if you’ve moved or change jobs, please take a minute and update your record at http://www.goizueta.emory.edu/alumni/update_address.html or call Lisa Dupre in our office at 404.727.6938. This small step is really the key to continuing the growth of the Goizueta community.
Best wishes for continued success,

–Natalie Miranda

Chris Tobin ‘94C
has left his post with Goizueta’s development office to become associate dean for development and alumni relations at Tulane Law School in New Orleans. His unwavering service to Goizueta and its alumni will be missed.

Raymond Reynolds, associate dean of development and external relations, notes, “Although I am proud that his many abilities in major gift fundraising have been recognized, I am quite sad to be losing him from our Goizueta team.”

Tobin’s experience and many successes, particularly his work with the Goizueta Leadership Alliance, will serve him well in the new assignment. The Emory graduate still has close ties to Goizueta and the university and plans to attend the dedication ceremony for The Goizueta Foundation Center for Research and Doctoral Education in September.

Congratulations to Chris, Caitlin, and their new baby, Pierson!
