Dear alumni, parents, and friends,

I hope that everyone is having a wonderful fall! At Goizueta, we are preparing for several events in celebration of the 90th anniversary of Goizueta Business School. You can visit www.goizueta.emory.edu and click on the 90th Anniversary logo to learn more about the progress of the business school over the decades. An anniversary reception and awards ceremony will be held on December 2, 2009. Thanks to all who voted in our online survey to determine our deserving alumni, faculty, staff, and corporate partner award recipients. You can find the names of our winners on pages 14 and 15.

Your alumni board has also been at work developing a series of strategic initiatives that tie directly to those of the school. Specifically, they have pledged to create a legacy scholarship fund that will provide scholarship dollars for each business degree program each year. We are all hopeful that economic recovery is on the horizon, but scholarships at Goizueta remain at a level of critical need. Many students and their families truly need assistance in order to continue their education at Goizueta Business School. Please thoughtfully consider a gift to Goizueta to support scholarships to help us continue this tradition of excellence.

We are constantly developing new ways to offer alumni direct social and professional networking avenues and will be adding more industry-specific alumni groups and intra-company alumni groups. Visit our redesigned Goizueta Alumni Website at www.goizueta.emory.edu/alumni for a complete list of all alumni benefits, events, and great ways to stay involved! You can remain engaged by mentoring a student, becoming a class correspondent, joining a Goizueta Group, speaking to a class, helping with your reunion, or participating in other industry-specific organizations.

I am very grateful to all of our alumni and friends who dedicate their valuable time to helping make our events such a tremendous success. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for your continuing commitment. I encourage all alumni to stay in touch and to share your ideas and your passion for Goizueta.

Sincerely,
